You will learn to

• Identify different types of sludge and greasy waste and perform waste collection and disposal using appropriate vehicles and/or equipment in a safe manner to ensure safe public health and environment.

Objectives

• Recognise the different types of Class C General Waste.
• Ensure waste collected are secured within the tankers and equipment used for Class C General Waste.
• Perform waste collection in accordance with regulatory requirements and organisational procedures.
• Ensure waste collection point is cleaned up in the event of spillages during collection.
• Discharge and/or dispose sludge and/or greasy waste at PUB’s WRPs in accordance with regulatory requirements and organisational procedures.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment to perform waste collection and disposal.
• Replenish consumables in preparation for next waste collection trip.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment used are in good working condition prior to deployment.
• Operate, inspect and maintain vehicles and equipment used for Class C General Waste collection.
