At the end of this course, you will be able to identify different types of sludge and greasy waste and perform waste collection and disposal using appropriate vehicles and/or equipment in a safe manner to ensure safe public health and environment. You will also be equipped with the essential knowledge and skills to perform your duties relating to the collection and disposal of Class C General Waste.

This course is only for the low wage workers in the PWM-Waste Management Sector.

At the end of the course, you will be able to identify the different types of general waste, recyclable waste and waste classifications. You will also be able to perform waste collection using appropriate equipment and disposal in a safe manner to ensure safe public health and environment.

At the end of the course, you will be able to identify different types of waste for recycling and disposal, the types of waste collection vehicle, the appropriate personal protective equipment for management of different types of waste, organise procedures for sorting waste received at the facility, types of abnormalities encountered during waste sorting operation, basic understanding of Environmental Public Health Act (including GWC and GWDF regulations), Environment Protection and Management Act, Hazardous Waste Act and Workplace Safety and Health Act.
