About the Course
At the end of this course, you will be able to apply cleaning of furniture and furnishing using the appropriate mechanical devices.
What You'll Learn
Wear personal protective equipment and display safety signs when shampooing carpets and maintaining upholsteries using mechanical devices.
Assemble tools, equipment and consumable supplies to shampoo carpets and maintain upholsteries.
Inform supervisor when a work activity cannot be carried out.
Shampoo carpets and maintain upholsteries using mechanical devices in accordance with organisational procedures and device manufacturer’s instructions.
Keep tools and equipment and replenish consumable supplies to ensure smooth operation.
Perform routine maintenance and checks on mechanical devices in accordance with maintenance schedules.
Assessment / Certificate:
You will receive a Statement of Attainment from SSG upon attainment of a minimum of 75% training attendance and pass the associated assessments.
Minimum Entry Requirements
Speak, listen and read English at a proficiency level not lower than Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 3, and manipulate numbers at a level not lower than Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 3.
Never attended school; pre-primary / kindergarten education; primary education without PSLE / PSPE certification or equivalent.
Minimum of two months of work experience in the cleaning operations sector or as a General Cleaner, Indoor Cleaner, Outdoor Cleaner, Multi-Skilled Cleaner cum Machine Operator or with the interest to be employed in the industry.
