About the Course

At the end of this course, you will be able to apply advanced cleaning and perform maintenance of washroom facilities.

What You'll Learn

  • Wear personal protective equipment and display safety signs.

  • Assemble tools, equipment and consumable supplies and remove stubborn stains from washroom facilities.

  • Inform supervisor when a work activity cannot be carried out.

  • Remove stubborn stains from washroom facilities in accordance with organisational procedures and device manufacturer’s instructions.

  • Keep tools and equipment and replenish consumable supplies to ensure smooth operation.

  • Perform periodic maintenance of washroom facilities.

  • Perform basic first aid to remove corrosive chemicals upon contact with skin.

Assessment / Certificate:

  • Practicum

  • Oral questioning

You will receive a Statement of Attainment from SSG upon attainment of a minimum of 75% training attendance and pass the associated assessments.

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • Speak, listen and read English at a proficiency level not lower than Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 3, and manipulate numbers at a level not lower than Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 3.

  • Never attended school; pre-primary / kindergarten education; primary education without PSLE / PSPE certification or equivalent.

  • Minimum of two months of work experience in the cleaning operations sector or as a Restroom Cleaner, Multi-Skilled Cleaner cum Machine Operator or with the interest to be employed in the industry.
